Faster Horses, Australia’s fastest growing insights consultancy, has reinforced its commitment to clients across the country, hiring three young guns, straight out of their graduate programs.
Nicholas Mayne joins as a Marketing and Economics graduate in Perth; Sashika Weerasinghe joins in Canberra with a Bachelor of Arts, with majors in International Relations and Minors in Political Science and Philosophy; and Taylor Morris joins in Perth with majors in Finance and Marketing.
Joint Managing Director Veronica Mayne says “Our clients tell us that there is a distinct lack of ability in the market to translate data into commercial implications. It’s not enough to simply report findings. This really does nothing to respect our clients’ time. Research must go the next step into advising clients specifically how to action the data. This is what turns data into insights, and researchers into consultants.”
Peter Fairbrother, joint Managing Director adds “While this is far from a new concept, it is surprising how much we hear this, and it is clear that market research agencies have not nailed this task.”
Building excellence from the ground up
Faster Horses has decided to expand its team of professionals from the ground up. This will build the skillsets that will sustain high level consultancy capabilities for years to come. The focus is placed on embedding young researchers in the intricacies of specific industries, teaching them to analyse contextual information as well as research data. The organisation mandates reading broad business publications to build stronger knowledge of financial metrics and commercial language.
The Faster Horses robust training program easily passes on the experience of the senior team to new and developing consultants.
