What personal information about you does Faster Horses collect and hold?
At Faster Horses we undertake market & social research research on behalf of clients. This information is collected in a number of different ways including via face-to-face interviews, focus groups, online and telephone surveys.
As part of the research undertaken, we develop surveys which ask people to provide information such as their opinions, behaviours, experiences, perceptions and attitudes. The information Faster Horses collects can sometimes include information such as your name, contact details and/ or associated research information, including respondent IP addresses and certain device information (for example, device type, OS version and browser version) for survey validation purposes. When providing personal information you have the option of remaining anonymous or using a pseudonym to be identified. However, in certain circumstances, such as where we receive your contact details from a third party or where the research data itself may potentially allow for identification, this may not be practicable.
Depending on the nature of the research we conduct, we may also collect sensitive information from you which may include, amongst other information, your political opinions or health information. However, sensitive information will only be collected with your prior consent and only if it is directly related to, or reasonably necessary for, the research we conduct.
How does Faster Horses collect and hold your personal information?
Faster Horses will generally collect your personal information using third-party service providers. You will always be informed about the circumstances of this collection. We may also from time to time collect personal information about you from third parties, such as when a client’s organisation, social market research recruiter or panellist provides personal information. In each case the third party we understand will have obtained your consent to disclose this information for social or market research purposes.
What are the purposes for which Faster Horses uses, handles and discloses your personal information?

- Faster Horses will take positive steps to address the breach in a timely manner and take remedial action such that the data breach does not result in serious harm.
- Faster Horses will undertake reasonable and expeditious assessment to determine if it is an ‘eligible data breach’, that is a breach likely to result in serious harm to any individual affected.
In compliance with Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches) Act 2017, Faster Horses agree that if they become aware of reasonable grounds to believe an eligible data breach has occurred they will promptly notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (Commissioner), the Association of Market and Social Research Organisations (AMSRO) and the affected individuals at likely risk of serious harm.
